SKYCITY MYSTICS DRAW FOR 2016

The SKYCITY Mystics will host the opening game in the ANZ Championship for 2016 when the Southern Steel travel to The Trusts Arena on Friday, April 1. The game potentially sees the competition’s two tallest players (the 203cm new SKYCITY Mystics recruit Megan Craig and the 198cm visitor Jhaniele Fowler-Reid) on the same court for the first time.

The 2016 ANZ Championship draw, announced today, sees the SKYCITY Mystics host seven games at The Trusts Arena next year. Among the home highlights are a round 10 meeting with the WBOP Magic and a round 13 clash with the NSW Swifts, who’ll feature Laura Langman.

The SKYCITY Mystics meet the current title holders, the Queensland Firebirds, in round 6 in Brisbane, while they have a first clash with the Magic in Hamilton in round 8.

A feature of the new draw is more family friendly times, including 4pm starts for Sunday matches in New Zealand.
