MG Northern Mystics captain Sulu Fitzpatrick has been ruled out of round 5 of the ANZ Premiership after sustaining an injury to her left knee during last Sunday’s game versus the Stars.

Fitzpatrick is following a gradual return to play with ongoing monitoring and treatment from the team’s medical staff.

The veteran defenders’ absence has opened an opportunity for young talent including Northern Marvels defender Catherine Hall to join the fold for upcoming back-to-back matches versus the Southern Steel on Saturday 1 April and the Central Pulse on Monday 3 April. Catherine trained with the Mystics consistently throughout pre-season and has impressed so far during her time in the National Netball League.
