By beating the Southern Steel 63-61 over the weekend, the SKYCITY Mystics have completed their first unbeaten regular season against New Zealand teams in the ANZ Championship.

In home and away matches against the four other Kiwi sides, Debbie Fuller’s team has recorded seven wins plus a 45-all draw against the Magic in Rotorua.

The SKYCITY Mystics play last year’s champions, the Melbourne Vixens, at The Trusts Arena on Monday, June 1, in round 14 of the competition. While the Vixens can’t now make the play-offs, the game will be a critical one for the SKYCITY Mystics to go into the finals series with confidence.

As they are already assured of finishing the regular season as the top-ranked New Zealand side, the SKYCITY Mystics will host the NZ Conference Final on Monday, June 8, at The Trusts Arena. Tickets for this will go on-sale through Eventfinda to SKYCITY Mystics members at 10am Tuesday, June 2, for 24 hours. A promo code will be provided. Then tickets will go on sale to the public from midday Wednesday, June 3.

In the NZ Conference Final, the SKYCITY Mystics will play the winner of the NZ Conference Elimination Final. This game, between the second and third-ranked Kiwi sides, is on Saturday, June 6.

The winning team from the NZ Conference Final will host the loser of the Australian Conference Final (and vice versa). These ANZ Championship semi-finals will be played June 14/15.

Then the ANZ Championship Grand Final will be played on June 21 or 22.
